Philip Noel-Baker was a British socialist, pacifist, and internationalist politician. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1929 to 1970, and held a number of government posts, including Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations from 1947 to 1950 and Minister of Transport from 1950 to 1951. He was also the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 1959.
