Beatrice of Swabia was the mother of Philip. She was born in 1198 and was the daughter of Philip of Swabia, King of the Romans, and Irene Angelina. Beatrice married Philip II of France in 1216 and they had three children together, including Louis VIII of France. Beatrice died in 1231 at the age of 33.
