Philip Rivers was born on December 8, 1981 in Decatur, Alabama. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played college football for the Tar Heels. After college, he was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He has played his entire professional career with the Chargers, and has been named to the Pro Bowl seven times.
