Answer
Charles IV, also known as Charles the Fair, was the last Capetian King of France. He was the son of Philip V and Jeanne of Navarre. Charles IV succeeded his father as King of France in 1322. Charles IV died in 1328 without any male heirs. This led to the French throne passing to Philip VI, the first Valois king of France.
