Pope Pius I was the Bishop of Rome from 140 to 155 AD. He is considered to be the fourth pope of the Catholic Church. Pius I was a Greek by birth and was martyred during the reign of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius. He is buried in the Catacomb of Saint Callistus in Rome.
