Prince George was the brother of two kings, Edward VIII and George VI. He was born in 1895 and died in 1953. He was the second son of King George V and Queen Mary. He served in the British Army during World War I and was wounded at the Battle of the Somme. After the war, he worked as a diplomat and was appointed Governor-General of Australia in 1930.
