A stroke incapacitated Prince Henry in 1965. He was taken to hospital after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage, which caused damage to the left side of his brain. As a result, he lost his speech and had difficulty walking. He was discharged from hospital in January 1966, but continued to experience health problems. He died of a heart attack in 1991.
