Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester was born in 1900 to King George V and Queen Mary. He was the youngest of their five children and the only son to survive into adulthood. Henry served in the Royal Navy during World War I and later became a member of the House of Lords. He married Lady Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott in 1935 and they had two children, a daughter and a son.
