Who succeeded the regency after Prince Paul?

  • King Alexander I

  • King Pieter I

  • King Peter II

  • Queen Maria

Answer

After Prince Paul was overthrown in 1945, King Peter II succeeded the regency. He had been a young child when he ascended to the throne in 1934, but was forced to abdicate by the Axis powers in 1941. He was exiled to London during the war, and returned to Yugoslavia after the war. However, he was unable to reassert his authority, and the country was ruled by a communist government.
