Born in Vienna, Austria, Marie Antoinette was the youngest daughter of Emperor Francis I and Empress Maria Theresa. She was raised in the opulent Schönbrunn Palace and received a thorough education, learning several languages, music, and dancing. At the age of 14, she was married to the Dauphin of France, the future King Louis XVI and she became Queen of France in 1774.
