Answer
The Battle of Schöngrabern (28–29 August 1805) was a battle in the War of the Third Coalition. The Austrian army under General Karl Mack von Leiberich was defeated by the French army under Marshal Jean Lannes. Bagration, who commanded a Russian army of 30,000 men, was praised for his successful defense of the Schöngrabern position, which delayed the French advance and allowed the Austrians to withdraw.
