Answer
Al-Qunayṭirah () is an alternate name for Quneitra. The city is located in the Golan Heights, which is a disputed territory between Israel and Syria. The city was captured by Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967 and has been under Israeli control ever since. In 1981, Israel annexed the Golan Heights, but the annexation has not been recognized by the international community.
