Antonio Imbert Barrera was a Dominican politician who led the group that assassinated dictator Rafael Trujillo in 1961. Barrera was a member of the Dominican Armed Forces and was involved in a plot to overthrow Trujillo in 1959. The plot was unsuccessful, but Barrera was able to escape to Cuba.
