Ramesses III's reign ended on 15 April 1155 BC. He was the third ruler of the 20th dynasty of ancient Egypt and is best known for his military campaigns against the Libyans and the Sea Peoples. He was also a prolific builder and left many monuments throughout Egypt, including his own tomb in the Valley of the Kings.
