Walter Anderson, Rashard's older brother, had a brief stint in the NFL as a defensive end. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 1997 NFL Draft and played for the team for two seasons before being released in 1999. During his time with the Colts, he recorded 17 tackles and one sack.
