The DINA (Direccion de Inteligencia Nacional) was the Chilean secret police during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. It was responsible for the torture, disappearance and death of thousands of Chileans. The DINA was disbanded in 1977, but its members continued to operate in Chile and abroad.
