The Treaty of Devol was an agreement signed between Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos and the Republic of Venice in 1082. It granted the Venetians significant commercial privileges within the Byzantine Empire, including the establishment of a Venetian quarter in Constantinople and the reduction of customs duties on Venetian goods. In return, Venice agreed to provide military assistance to the Byzantines against their enemies.
