Likud is a center-right political party in Israel. Founded in 1973, Likud is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Israel, along with the center-left Israeli Labor Party. Likud's ideology is generally characterized as nationalist and liberal-conservative, combining social conservatism and economic liberalism.
