Mohamed Naguib passed away in 1984. He was a leader in the Egyptian Revolution and became the first President of Egypt. He was a military officer and was appointed Prime Minister of Egypt by King Farouk in 1952. Naguib led the Egyptian Revolution against the monarchy in 1952 and became the first President of Egypt in 1953. He was overthrown by Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1954 and died in 1984.
