Mohamed Naguib was an Egyptian military officer and politician who served as the first President of Egypt from 1952 to 1953. He was a member of the Free Officers Movement, which led the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. Naguib was deposed by Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1954.
