Ric Ocasek was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 as a member of the Cars. The band, formed in Boston in 1976, released seven studio albums, with their biggest hit being "Drive" in 1984. Ocasek, the lead singer and songwriter, also had a successful solo career and produced albums for other artists such as Weezer and Bad Religion.
