Clark played for Bayern Munich in Germany before returning to the United States. He played for the team from 1984 to 1988, and was a key player in their success during that time. He helped the team win the Bundesliga title in 1986 and 1987, and the DFB-Pokal in 1986. He was also named the Bundesliga Player of the Year in 1986.
