Ricardo Lancaster-Jones y Verea taught the course Regional History at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. He was a Mexican historian, who was a professor of history at the university from 1954 to 1979. He was also a member of the Mexican Academy of History. Lancaster-Jones was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, on July 20, 1926. He studied history at the University of Guadalajara, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1951.
