Italian conductor Riccardo Muti is known for his interpretations of the works of Verdi and Puccini. He served as the music director of the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1980 to 1992, and has been the music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 2010. He is also an honorary conductor of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
