Richard E. Taylor died on 22 February 2018. He was an American experimental physicist who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1990 with Jerome Isaac Friedman and Henry Way Kendall. They received the award for their work on the discovery of the quark structure of protons and neutrons.
