Sambora was born in 1959 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, United States. He is best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band Bon Jovi, which he joined in 1983. Sambora has co-written many of the band's biggest hits, including "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive". He left the band in 2013 but rejoined in 2018.
