Robert B. Sherman was born in 1925. He was an American songwriter who, along with his brother Richard M. Sherman, wrote many popular songs for films and television shows, including "Mary Poppins," "The Jungle Book," and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." The Sherman Brothers won two Academy Awards for Best Original Song and were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.
