Robert Donat was born on March 18, 1905 in West Hartlepool, County Durham, England. He was an actor who appeared in many films, including The Thirty-Nine Steps, The Citadel, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, and The Inn of the Sixth Happiness. Donat won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Goodbye, Mr. Chips in 1939. He died of a heart attack on June 9, 1958 in California, United States.
