Robin Gibb was born in 1949 in Manchester, England, to Hugh and Barbara Gibb. His father was a drummer and his mother was a singer. Robin and his brothers Maurice and Barry Gibb formed the Bee Gees in 1958. The Bee Gees became one of the most successful pop groups of all time, selling over 220 million records worldwide. Robin Gibb died in 2012 at the age of 62.
