The Apollo program consisted of six crewed lunar landing missions between 1969 and 1972. The first five missions each included two "deep space" EVAs (extravehicular activities), in which astronauts conducted experiments outside the lunar module. The sixth mission, Apollo 17, included a third "deep space" EVA.
