Answer
Ronnie James Dio started his music career in 1957, at the age of 10, when he joined the choir at his church in Cortland, New York. He then went on to sing in several local bands, before joining Elf in 1975. Elf later became Rainbow, and Dio was the lead singer of Rainbow from 1975 to 1980.
