Rupert Bruce-Mitford was born on June 14, 1914. He was a British writer, journalist, and broadcaster. He was the son of David Bruce-Mitford, 2nd Baron Redesdale, and Sydney Bowles. He was educated at Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. After the war, he worked as a journalist for The Times and The Daily Telegraph.
