Rush left the Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2019. He had been with the promotion for over a decade, winning multiple championships and becoming one of its top stars. Rush's departure was reportedly due to creative differences with CMLL management. He has since joined the rival promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
