From 2010 to 2015, Aung San Suu Kyi served as Minister of State in the Vice-President's office. During this time, she was responsible for the ministries of labour, health and social welfare, and national planning and economic development. She also served as the chairperson of the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre, which was responsible for negotiating with the rebel groups in Myanmar.
