Scott Stevens is a former American ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 22 seasons. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008. Stevens played for the Washington Capitals, St. Louis Blues, New Jersey Devils, and Atlanta Thrashers. He helped the Capitals make the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 1998.
