Scott Weiland was born on October 27, 1967 in Santa Cruz, California. He was an American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock bands Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. Weiland died of an accidental drug overdose on December 3, 2015, at the age of 48.
