Ferrari's logo features a prancing horse, which has led to the team's nickname "The Prancing Horse." The horse was originally used by Italian World War I pilot Francesco Baracca on his airplane. Enzo Ferrari was asked to use the symbol by Baracca's mother as a tribute to her son.
