The Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic was a short lived union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the South Caucasus, comprising Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. It was established in 1922 as part of the Soviet Union, but was later dissolved in 1936 as the individual republics became constituent members of the Soviet Union in their own right.
