Shunsuke Nakamura was a Japanese footballer who primarily played as a midfielder. He was known for his free kicks and long-range shooting, and was named the Asian Footballer of the Year in 2008. He played for a number of clubs in Japan and Europe, including Celtic, Yokohama F. Marinos, and Espanyol. He also represented Japan at the international level, appearing in the 2002 and 2010 World Cups.
