Barbara Radziwiłł was the second wife of Sigismund II Augustus, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania. Their marriage was controversial as Barbara was a member of the Polish nobility, while Sigismund was a member of the Jagiellonian dynasty. Despite the opposition of the Polish nobility, Sigismund and Barbara married in 1547. Barbara died in 1551, and Sigismund never remarried.
