Charles Wade became Premier of New South Wales on October 2, 1907. He was a member of the Liberal Reform Party and served as Premier for nearly five years, until his resignation in September 1912. During his time in office, Wade implemented a number of significant reforms, including the introduction of compulsory education and the establishment of the State Savings Bank.
