Sonmi was born in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She was a genetically modified human created by the corporation Methuselah's Children to serve as a slave labor force. She was eventually freed by her mentor, Haemon Cho, and became a revolutionary leader who fought for the rights of all humans.
