Sophia Magdalena was born on October 28, 1700 in Christiansborg Palace, Denmark. She was the only daughter of King Frederik IV of Denmark and Queen Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow. Sophia Magdalena married King George II of Great Britain in 1727 and they had nine children together. She was a popular queen and was known for her kindness and generosity. She died on November 28, 1772 at the age of 72.
