Spiro Agnew was the 39th Vice President of the United States under President Richard Nixon. His father, Theodore Agnew, was a Greek immigrant who came to the United States in 1903. He settled in Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked as a tailor. Theodore Agnew was a devout Greek Orthodox Christian and Spiro Agnew was raised in the Greek Orthodox faith.
