The answer is the United States Forces – Afghanistan (USFOR-A). Following his command of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Stanley McChrystal assumed leadership of USFOR-A in June 2009. This multinational force was responsible for conducting military operations in Afghanistan during the War in Afghanistan. McChrystal held this position until he resigned in June 2010, amidst controversy surrounding his critical remarks about the Obama administration.
