Stefan Edberg is a retired Swedish professional tennis player. He was born on January 19, 1966, in Västervik, Sweden. Edberg turned professional in 1983 and won his first Grand Slam title at the 1985 Australian Open. Throughout his career, he won six Grand Slam singles titles, including two Wimbledon titles and two US Open titles. Edberg also won the Davis Cup with Sweden in 1984, 1985, and 1987.
