Ștefan Foriș was training for a degree in Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University. He was a Romanian political activist and journalist who served as the first General Secretary of the Romanian Communist Party. Foriș was born in the village of Păușești-Măglași in 1894. He studied Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, where he became involved in the Romanian Social Democratic Party.
