Ștefan Voitec was a Romanian Communist who was known for a time as a Trotskyist. He was born in Bucharest in 1903 and joined the Romanian Communist Party in 1921. He was expelled from the party in 1924 for his Trotskyist views. He returned to the party in 1929 and was elected to the Central Committee in 1936.
