Sterling Price was a Confederate general who served in Arkansas from 1862 to 1865. He fought in a number of battles in the state, including the Battle of Pea Ridge, the Battle of Helena, and the Battle of Jenkins' Ferry. Price was also responsible for the capture of Little Rock in 1863. He eventually surrendered to Union forces in 1865.
