Steve Marriott was a musician who was best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the Small Faces and Humble Pie. He died in 1991 at the age of 44. In 1996, he was posthumously awarded the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. The award is given by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) to recognize outstanding contributions to British music.
